On January 18, 2025 at 12 pm, please join NCCWP at St. Mary by the Sea for a presentation by a group of University of Oregon graduate students and their professor, Ignacio López Busón. Busón is Assistant Professor of Climate Change Resilience and his class “Coastal Natures” is a design studio focusing on climate change adaptation for coastal communities in Oregon.

This fall, he and his students have been modeling various future conditions of Rockaway Beach. They are looking at both global risks and health risks that will have an undue impact on the region. Factors like development, climate change, sea level rise, deforestation, and drinking water are included in their modeling.
